Drinker systems for turkeys use bell drinkers with stabilising ballast (standard and compact drinkers), and drip feeders (nipples) installed with a bucket. Automatic bell drinkers for turkeys with stabilising ballast (standard and compact) differ in the shape of the drinker itself and in the size of the stabilising ballast.

The ballast in both types of drinkers is fixed after filling with sand or water by screwing it into the bell of the drinker. The height of the rim of turkey drinkers is 7.4 cm, the width is 6.8 cm, and the length of the rim of the drinker is 132 cm. Turkey bell drinkers with ballast, made of high-quality, strong and hard plastic, are attached to the water supply pipe with a special connector.

Bucket drinkers with a movable element for opening and closing the teat are also used for supplying water to turkeys. The Super Easy Start Adjustable (SESA) drinkers are designed for turkey chicks for the first period of rearing. They are filled with water from a nipple that opens under pressure from a tube that moves vertically on a special spring that is lifted by a bucket with a small amount of water. After filling the bucket with water, it is lowered by pulling the tube down, which closes the nipple and cuts off the water supply to the bucket.

Bucket drinkers for older turkeys work on a similar principle, except that the bucket cup mounted on a pipe on two hangers is stationary, while the pipe through which the water is supplied to the cup tilts from the vertical when the turkey presses the beak at the bottom of it, opening the nipple from which the flowing water fills the bucket cup.

Replacing SESA cup drinkers with THF (Turkey Heavy Finish) cup drinkers for older turkeys is simple and easy, especially since the element connecting both types of cup drinkers to the nipple is the same.

Drinking water is just as important to the birds as the feed. Computer programs allow water consumption to be continuously tracked and logged at certain times of the day, over the course of a day or longer periods of time. The analysis of water consumption allows the producer to permanently assess the health of the birds and to react quickly in the event of any anomalies (sudden decrease or increase in water consumption).
